Off the Menu Los Angeles Restaurant Relief Fund

WHY:
Restaurants are the heart and soul of Los Angeles. They are your neighbors, friends, moms, dads, sisters, and brothers. They are the people and places you go to for support and comfort in times of need and in times of celebration. They always take care of others before themselves, whether it's a comforting meal after a tough day, a drink & convo when you need someone to listen, celebrating a special moment, or a coffee to start your day. Restaurants are there.
It’s our turn to take care of our friends and family in the restaurant industry the way they have taken care of us for so many years. Off the Menu wants to support our local small business restaurant partners and we are raising money to donate to them during this difficult time. Money will be dispersed to all Off the Menu Club restaurants that we have partnered with since the beginning of this year (list below). Off the Menu is kicking off the raise with a $2,500 donation.
HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED & DISTRIBUTED:
All funds will go toward helping restaurants pay their employees wages. All money donated will be split evenly amongst the restaurants. No contribution is too small. All funds will be withdrawn directly to an Off the Menu account. Funds will then be distributed evenly to all of the below restaurants to be shared with their employees.
What your contribution really allows is for a restaurant employee to then be able to pay for groceries for their family, hygiene products and necessary medication, gas in their cars to get to their jobs so that they can continue feeding our community and so much more. So much of the restaurant workforce lives paycheck to paycheck and depend on their cash tips to survive. With all restaurants in LA being forced to switch to take-out only, staff hours are dropping and the tips jars are running dry.
