2025 ODU Womens Lacrosse 9 11 Dinner

2018 ODU Women’s Lacrosse graduate, Jessi Deluca, started the 9/11 Remembrance Dinner as her goal was to bring together student-athletes, the local community, and those who are here to protect us. Jessi is originally from New York and her father was a Firefighter during the 9/11 attack, therefore, 9/11 has been something very close to her heart. We continue to do this event thanks to Jessi, as we remember and recognize those impacted by 9/11, celebrate our local responders and those around the world who fight to protect their communities. The 9/11 Remembrance Dinner is meant to thank our local fire station for their service to Norfolk and keeping us safe as we study and compete at ODU. This year, the dinner will take place on Thursday, September 11th from 6-8pm at the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Station 7 (1211 43rd Street Norfolk, VA 23508), located on the corner of 43rd Street and Hampton Blvd. As each attending student athlete will be donating $20 which will guarantee dinner for themselves and a firefighter, we ask that all additional donations go though this GoFundMe in efforts to reach our donation goal toward the Norfolk Burn Center.
