There is an opportunity to help Ocracoke Island businesses offset the cost of printing the “Ocracoke Island Walking Map & Business Directory”.
If you've visited the Island, I’m sure you’ve seen the maps on the ferry, in the hotels or shops. It’s an important resource used by all visitors to make dining and shopping decisions. Normally the cost of printing is shared among the island business owners. However, after Dorian, these are not ‘normal’ times and printing is a burden many can’t afford right now.
Proceeds from this effort will go to the Ocracoke Civic and Business Association who manage the printing of the maps.
As a homeowner, I have a vested interest in the success of all the Island businesses. Without their hard work, who would maintain and repair the rental homes or feed the thousands of visitors to the island each year?
