Oakland SOL Revival Sustainability Friendraiser
Donation protected
Hello Friends! We are SOL (Sustaining Ourselves Locally)Revival, the newly formed collective of Black artists, farmers, and organizers. We have the opportunity to reimagine the non-profit and community building formerly know as Oakland SOL. Our members have worked so hard this past year to facilitate this transition and cover all costs caused by the Pandemic. We are finally entering our official roll out phase and are now asking for support from our friends and community. The funds from this campaign will allow SOL Revival members to create a solid operational foundation to launch our up and coming programming!
What these funds will cover:
☑️Rent
☑️Overdue Building Maintenance
☑️Water Bill for Garden
We have big plans for the future! In the past Oakland SOL served as an accessible event rental space for Queer, Trans, and POC artists and as a community garden with a successful youth internship program. Due to the impact pandemic of Covid-19, Oakland SOL's former collective disbanded. SOL Revival has stepped up, maintained, the space and is currently covering regular costs without revenue. Our rent relief is expiring in February and we are asking you to support this newly formed and Black-Owned community space!
Our new vision will offer the following programming:
Brick and Mortar for Black Banjo Reclamation Project
Learn More About BBRP
Maintaining and Expanding SOL Revival's Garden Programing
( Youth Internship, Community Garden Work Days, CSA Boxes)
Creative + Educational Workshops
Photo+Video Studio Rental Space
Live Stream+Performance+Podcast Sound Studio
Co Working Rental Space for Black Artist
SOL Revival is excited to bring this programming and so much more to our growing Black, Queer and Trans community. It's essential that we reach our financial goal by January 27th, so we can secure our building and our visions. With the power of our local Oakland community and across the world, we are completely confident that we'll make our goal.
Please join our journey by contributing and sharing our story. We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to building with you this year!
Warmly,
Oakland SOL Revival Collective ❤️
