Jill Carr, our wonderful friend & coworker, was recently diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma (a.k.a. DCIS). DCIS is usually non-invasive; however, having DCIS increases the risk of developing invasive cancer later on.
This devastating news hit her while she is juggling life, work, school and taking care of her family. Jill also has to make these life decisions at the same time all of us are being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cancer is never fair, but we hope this campaign can assist Jill and her family during this time.
Jill will endure two surgeries this year, the first of which is March 27. She will spend time off work during recovery, with reduced pay at 70% during that time. As we all know, medical and everyday bills will continue to roll in during this financially difficult time.
This GoFundMe campaign is not something Jill has asked for. We're doing this to show her she is surrounded by people who care for her and who want to help lift at least a small portion of the burden. Any amount you give will raise her spirits, give her hope, and help see this wonderful woman through the heart-breaking challenge life has placed in her path.
