Iowa Derecho Relief - Helping Iowa Recover!
Donation protected
On August 10th and 11th, our home state of Iowa was struck by a devastating derecho, which reached winds up to 130 mph and resulted in 14 million acres of farmland damage - estimated to be 43% of the entire state’s corn and soybean crop. Our farmers are losing out on billions of income because of this disaster. Among the damage across the entire state, the towns of Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Marshalltown were catastrophically hit, as those entire towns were wiped out. The destruction of the derecho has affected many homes, businesses, and schools. 60,000 homes were destroyed in Cedar Rapids alone. Up to one million people were without power for weeks in the Midwest. Iowa is in need of help.
And although we are all across the country away from home, we still claim our roots in Iowa. We are all one family. Proud Iowans. Please donate so we can help support our communities & get them back on their feet. Anything helps. Together, we are Iowa strong.
The final amount will decide how we spread the funds to everyone, please help out. If you cannot donate please share the link and bring more awareness to what is happening in Iowa.
