The UN is calling violence against women and girls "the shadow pandemic" of 2020
A recent survey found almost one in 10 Australian women have experienced domestic violence at the hands of a romantic partner since being in COVID-19 lockdown. Alarmingly, 33% of those women said their first experience of sexual and/or physical violence had come about amidst the pandemic.
With Victorian women now experiencing the harshest lockdown laws yet, we want to harness the power of our community to raise much-needed funds for Safe Steps Victoria, Victoria's 24/7 family violence response service for women and children.
Why $10?
Because this isn’t a competition of who has the most money to give; it’s a collaboration of philanthropic women from all demographics, backgrounds, and financial situations. If we all chip in a little, we can collectively achieve a lot.

The house-keeping stuff
We will be announcing the winning couple (or throuple! or entire group!) on Thursday the 13th of August.
