Grow Development without Displacement in Baltimore

Tax deductible
We love Baltimore and that is why we are fighting for its future. We no longer accept the inhumane development decisions in Baltimore that on the one hand offer hyper segregation, disinvestment, and displacement by slumlord eviction and on the other massive public subsidies that further displace us while ushering in new wealth creation from speculators. We don’t have to choose this present every day. We choose a future that unites us towards rebuilding and reclaiming our communities.

We know you want a better future for Baltimore too. Please donate to support community land trust affordable housing led by residents!

Every contribution will go to funding the United Workers’ and Fair Development Roundtable's Community Land Trust vision for Baltimore City to develop thousands of housing units across the city that are permanently affordable and community owned. This effort is led by multi-generational leadership demanding a fair development future - racial equity, economic justice, permanent affordable housing, environmental sustainability and work with dignity. Every dollar will go towards developing Land Trust properties into new homes and rental cooperatives, land stewarded for fresh foods, zero waste programs like onsite composting of neighborhood food scraps, and public gathering spaces to increase safety and fellowship.

Over the past two years your generous support for the movement for Fair Development allowed us to make major breakthroughs in realizing our shared vision including:

Gaining community control of 8 lots to form a land trust development site for permanently affordable housing in South Baltimore:

Leading a community driven plan for safe and healthy green space development on a portion (lots 4,5,6) of the site. Students from across South Baltimore communities worked together for 6 months to gain control of the vacant lots, develop a concept for the space and engaged residents in the plan. Over the summer, students used wood and other reclaimed materials from the Port of Baltimore to begin construction of "Free Your Voice Stage", chess tables, a fitness area, and a historically themed mini golf course. Beginning total rehab to transform a vacant at 520 N. Luzerne in McElderry Park into a quality permanently affordable home  :

Creating Hope Garden in the West Baltimore community of Harlem Park to meet community needs and begin Community Land Trust Development:

Winning major victories for the long term future of development without displacement in Baltimore securing 20 million dollars in annual public investment in the resident created Affordable Housing Trust Fund :

Thank you for your generous support to continue building the foundation for Fair Development in Baltimore.
