**FOR HAYDENS AMERICAN FRIENDS AND FAMILY, THIS IS IN CANADIAN FUNDS**As many of you know Hayden has been fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer, since the age of 5. She is now 11. Hayden has undergone rounds and rounds of chemotherapy. Multiple rounds of radiation. Stem cell transplant. Mibg therapy. Clinical trials in Michigan. Appendicitis. Tumour removal. Port implant . Twice due to relapse. G-tube surgery. The list goes on and on. Hayden has fought over and over. Sadly in late summer 2019, Hayden was given a terminal diagnosis. Heartbroken with this news, Hayden and her family have continued time and time again to amaze the people around them with their strength and positivity.
Unfortunately, Haydens little body has become progressively weaker in the last few months. With no curable treatments available for her, her family and friends try to provide Hayden with the best quality of life with the least amount of pain possible. Hayden has continuous pain medication throughout the day and has had numerous pain medication increases over the last couple months. She is now using a walker to help her get around. Palliative care is now involved in providing her and her family with the care they need to get through this next part of Haydens journey.
During this time, Hayden requires round the clock care. Between medical appointments, meds, feeds, pain management, Haydens family has needed to be by her side. Many of her medications and medical equipment are not covered by OHIP and are paid for out of pocket by her family.
Please help us to lift this family by removing some of the fInancial pressures upon them right now so they can focus on the time they have left with this warrior. Any help, big or small, is greatly greatly appreciated by the family. Let’s rally together and send lots of Hugs to Hayden!!!
