Help Support Sandy's Cancer Fight!

Hi everyone,
For those of you who don't know, my mother was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer about a month ago. She had a successful surgery to remove the affected tumor, and after tests were completed, it was determined that cancerous cells existed in one of fourteen local lymph nodes tested in the colon. We are confident and hopeful that the cancer was caught early enough that we can successfully treat it through chemotherapy!
However, as you know, these treatments can not only be hard on the body, but also, on finances, as well. My mom retired earlier this year and started her own dog walking and pet sitting business, "Blue Collar Dog Walks". This small business was intended to help support her fixed income in retirement, as well as provide her with an opportunity to be around what she loves - animals! Unfortunately, the chemo will limit her ability to perform her work. She will receive treatment bi-monthly, for 6 months.
I wanted to start this fundraising campaign to help my mom with the excess medical costs she will see during treatment. My intent is to surprise her with this campaign on Christmas Day with whatever funds we manage to raise. Not only will the funds help with her bills, but also, I truly believe that this will help her see the support group she has, and help keep her spirit positive during this very rough time.
I appreciate any support that can be given, no matter how small!
I simply ask that you do not reach out to Sandy at this time, as I would like to keep this as a surprise.
