Hello everybody,
After a long battle and journey, I am reluctantly starting this gofundme on behalf of my mother and myself. We have been living in Pensacola for almost 5 years and have loved our home and the community we have grown to become a part of. We have remained in the same house for the entire time we have been here. Now the foundation of our lives is shifting beneath our feet. The owners of our home, who are wonderful people, are looking to move forward in their own lives for various reasons and sell this house we call home. They immediately offered to sell to us, but due to certain restrictions we are not in a position where we can buy.
Almost 2 years ago, my mother, suffered a fall on the job that put her through 2 surgeries and ultimately almost completely disabled. Since her recovery, it has been near impossible to find a job that she can execute to retain said job. She shattered her wrist and can't lift anything or type for any length of time as well as having bad knees, she can't stand for too long... the list goes on. Her divorce completely wiped out all of her savings and retirement accounts and she receives no alimony. I, being a retail manager, do not make enough to support the household and have enough food to eat for the both of us and our 2 fur babies. We have tried everything and anything we can to try and stay in this house. We are finally at the white flag point. All we have left is hope, faith, and friends.
Neither one of us wanted to create this page, as it seems we are giving up on our faith and failing our Catholic beliefs, but we simply need help. Any and all. We may not get to stay here, and we have come to terms with that, but once we are forced to leave, we have no where to retreat to. No family in the area and friends that we love too much to burden by even asking for something like an extended stay. Especially since we don't know if and when we would be able to get back up on our own feet. We just need somewhere to go.
We have been praying for God to lead us in the direction He knows best, but we are struggling to see the light. We love all of you and thank you all for the support and prayers that you have sent our way so deeply and profoundly. God bless.
