Northburgh Castle Conservation Group
Donation protected
We are carrying out a Conservation Plan for Northburgh Castle, a Norman castle in Greencastle, county Donegal that dates from 1305.
The Conservation plan consists of bringing together a Conservation Architect, a Structural Engineer, an Archaeologist, an Ecologist and a 3D modeler to analyse the site and the castle's structure; to identify any parts of the castle structure that are in immediate need of remediation; and to create a medium term plan for the future conservation of the castle.
The Irish Heritage Council has awarded us a grant of €14,100 for the Conservation plan, but we have a shortfall of €4k that we have to fill.
Our deadline is 8th October..
