North Arm Hall Revival

About the Project

Hello, we are Sunshine Coast Physical Culture Club Inc. and we are reinstating the North Arm Hall - School of Arts into a usable and accessible community facility.

We are a local non-profit dance/sport and recreational club with just under 100 members. We have noticed a lack of viable and easily accessible community venues in the local area and would love to see the North Arm Hall brought back to life.

As well as utilising the hall for our our club's recreational activities in the future, we would also like to welcome the wider community back into the hall primarily for community based, not-for-profit usage (functions, events, workshops, classes, etc.).

What is needed to make it happen:

Our Club is applying for grants to bring the hall up to safety standards so that we can make it operational.  Any and all further funding received will go directly toward upgrading the facilities and restoring the hall to its former glory.

· Support Letters — First and foremost, we are asking for letters of support from local community members to accompany our grant requests.. If you would like to see the Hall up and running again please send us an email.  If you are unsure what to write we are happy to provide a template.

· Donations — Some of the grants being applied for require a 50% co-contribution.  The more monetary donations or supplies that we receive ‘in-kind’, the more funding is likely to be awarded to be spent on the hall. Our club is actively fundraising, however, we still require additional support. We are able to offer advertising through our website, social media, signage at the hall and audible mentions of note at our public events and performances in return for monetary donations or supplies.

· Hardware — Whilst we already have quite a few volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and get dirty, we still require many hardware items (paint, gyprock, floor varnish, landscaping supplies, pavers, carpet/vinyl/tiles, water tanks, pumps, pvc pipe, etc.).  Please email the club to see a list of specifications with sizes and quantities, etc.
