Hi Everyone,
By now I am sure most of you know Norma Jean, my mother, is in the midst of a fight against cancer. She has a rare blood cancer called. Multiple Myleoma. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy locally in Spokane and is grateful to be home recovering after nearly 2 months in the hospital. Through the grace of good family and friends we were able to raise enough money through the previous campaing to keep her bills paid while she was in the hospital as well as get some much needed changes made to the way she lives her day to day life in order to get back to being the healthy happy vibrant Norma Jean we all love.
Unfortunately life moves on and bills continue to pile up and NJ is still in no position to be returning to work no matter how badly she wants to start teaching again. She talks of her piano students every day and while on her good energy days she can see taking on a few students here and there the doctors and family have huge concerns about it being too much for her and her immune system.
At this time we expect it to be anywhere from 6-12 months before she can return to work. In the mean time she will be pursuing a number of treatment options locally. We have also applied to be part of a MM clinic in Houston that has some of the leading remission rates in the entire world. Only catch is currently insurance is refusing to cover any of the costs of the trip or the medical care while there because it is outside Spokane County.
All funds will go directly towards Norma Jeans living expenses and ongoing medical care. Any amount that you can give is appreciated. If you cannot donate please share the page on social media that way more people can know that she needs continued help.
