Norbeck Meadows Against Racism Fund

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

We've had a number of people reach out to us to see if there is anything they can do to support us through the recent acts of vandalism at our house in Norbeck Meadows. We have very much appreciated those offers and think that the best thing that we can do is to show that our community stands up against racism and stands up for our neighbors. For those who have extra to spare in these trying times, we'd like to ask that people donate to this GoFundMe. The money will be split evenly between the local Sandy Spring Slave Museum and Black Lives Matter.

Here is brief summary of the Slave Museum and their upcoming efforts:
The Sandy Spring Slave Museum & African Art Gallery, Inc., is a non-profit 501(3) organization. This community museum was established in 1988 and is solely staffed by community volunteers. Part of the museum's mission is to bridge the information gap to inform all groups of the advantages of cross-cultural communication and diversity, as expressed through history, the arts, and the humanities.

The museum volunteer staff is currently planning a virtual program which will explore the journey from Civil Rights to Black Lives Matter (BLM) movements. The museum's program committee, in collaboration with community stakeholders such as Montgomery County Police Chief Jones and Mental Health professionals look forward to being able to share the journey with the community.

Thanks,

Aaron, Camille, & family
