Norah the Explorer Surgery
Little Norah was involved in an accident at our house on Saturday, November 23rd. A visitor came by our house and stopped their car, and in that brief moment Norah did something she’s never done before - she stopped in front of the front tire. The visitor let off the brake and rolled over Norah’s back. The visitor quickly drove us to the Northwood Animal Hospital where she was treated with great care. She was diagnosed with a laceration to her stomach, and a drain was promptly put in place.
The next day we learned that Norah had a clean break to her pelvis, with some bruising on her stomach. For her surgery she will have a pin placed in her pelvis by an orthopedic veterinarian surgeon.
The estimated cost for the surgery is between $3,200 - $6,000. This is in addition to the $1,300 to get her stabilized just after she was injured. Any donation will help and will be greatly appreciated.
