Nonprofit Ministry in Peru: TABLE FOR ALL
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Sammie Carpenter, a student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I have over 24 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in women’s health. After participating on a medical mission trip to Peru this year and seeing the health challenges especially malnutrition within these remote rural villages a team of business and healthcare professionals have joined together to help address this issue of malnutrition. Up to 50% of these women and children suffer from iron deficiency anemia which affects both their cognitive and physical growth and development. This nonprofit organization I am helping to establish is dedicated to a mission of global health and ministry.
This organization, Table for All, will provide essential health care by meeting nutritional needs while striving for sustainable solutions. At the core of our efforts is the establishment of a multipurpose farm, aiming to address malnutrition. By combining health expertise with agricultural sustainability, this nonprofit will create a brighter and healthier future for these vulnerable communities.
