I am Martin, 31 years old man from Mexico city. I was diagnosed with a Non-Hodgkin lymphoma that severely affects my immune system and grows very fast. Unfortunately, this type of cancer has been resistant to conventional chemotherapy treatments that are currently available in Mexico.
However, there is an approved treatment in countries such as the U.S., and Spain that has shown effectiveness of up to 80% in patients treated under the same condition and that has not responded effectively to conventional treatments.
This is my chance to heal.
CAR-T Cell is a type of treatment in which the patient's T cells (a type of immune system cell) are modified in a laboratory to attack cancer cells. T cells are extracted from the patient's blood, and in the laboratory, the gene is added to a special receptor that binds to a certain protein in the patient's cancer cells. This special receptor is called the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR).
Novartis is the only laboratory that produces the medicine.
The funds will help me to pay for my trip and the high cost of the treatment in the U.S., which depending on its duration can exceed the $ 900,000 CAD.
Funds are urgent because this type of cancer is very fast, and three weeks have passed already since my last treatment, funds are needed to visit doctors and clinics in the U.S.

Since it is a very rare disease, with your help you are not only helping me, you are also helping this treatment to be developed and taken to more countries.
Any resource not used in my treatment will be donated to a foundation responsible for the investigation of this disease.
