Nokie Edwards broke his right hip on Christmas morning. His hip was replaced with success he entered a care home on Jan 1st. On Jan16th Nokie return to the ER with a fever of 102 and a 2 infections one infection being triple drug resistant. The doctors and hospital staff fought very hard to treat this infection. After six surgery's and antibiotics and blood transfusions. The pain over come him and Nokie's immune system failed him. His lungs filled with fluid very fast and he past away March 12th at 5:41 AM.
We need your benefit donations to help with medical bills and a very large dream of Nokie's.
Before Nokie's passing we talked of many thing and had allot of laughs with our brother Rick the Saturday before he past over 4 hours of telling jokes laughed until we cryied.
As you who know him he loves to tell his joke story's. I also believe his RN's, nurses's and doctors loved his dry humor. After returning to the hospital on Jan 16th to March 12th they got to know him very good.
Nokie spoke of a last tour he wanted to take when he was strong enough to go home. Ask if I thought we could do it. I was unsure but told him anything he wanted to just fight to get stronger. My baby will go on a final Celebration of Life tour to places he mentioned. His music will play and his jokes will be heard the memories we will chair.
Nokie will have two viewings
April 7th @ 1st Christion Church, Yuma Az 1:00 pm
April 14th @ Village Church, Newhall CA. 11:00 am
Nokie will return home to Yuma to be creamated and back on the road to Oregon, Washington, NY,
Cleveland Ohio "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"

His hole life was music and the world wide fans. This was a dream I promised when he could return home. I miss him so my heart is braking. But I know there's no more pain and the good Lord needed him for other things and he's stop his suffereing.
He is home now with the big band in heaven walking around again and pickin' with all his buddy's who went before him.
