Aloha everyone,
I’ll be joining the Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training in Minneapolis this August! The training event is hosted by the Climate Reality Project , a non-profit dedicated to inspiring global action on climate change.
I've been a long-time advocate for our environment. I have been involved in increasing the adoption of sustainable transportation (e.g., electric vehicles), raising awareness of the importance of acting on climate change, and supporting policies designed to enable meaningful reductions in pollution that affects us all. Given the increasing urgency of our climate challenge, I'm stepping up my efforts to effect change and aim to be a more vocal advocate. This training is a step in my journey. I expect to walk away from it better prepared to influence others to act on what I believe is the most important problem facing us – our failing climate. I’m motivated by the reality that with urgent and meaningful action, we can leave our children, grandchildren, and future generations with a healthy, prosperous, and sustainable environment.
The training is provided at no cost. However, travel and lodging are up to the participants. To help cover some of my travel and lodging costs and to raise awareness, I’m humbly soliciting donations. Any amount of support is greatly appreciated.
