Hi!
I am a pediatric physical therapist that has the privilege of working with an adorable boy named Noah. Noah has a genetic disorder called Cri du chat. He is 7 years old and is unable to walk or move on his own. He has a wheelchair but the wheelchair does not allow him to try to move on his own. He is unable to speak and has to eat by a feeding tube. He is able to communicate with a few signs but he communicates mostly with his huge smile!
Noa has been getting stronger and has the strength to work on wheeling a wheelchair. But his insurance company will not buy him a new wheelchair. His old wheelchair is too heavy and bulky for his family and does not allow him to explore his world.
His family has had to pay for multiple surgeries for him in the past few years as well as ongoing medical bills.
I am asking for your financial assistance to help Noah get a new wheelchair. Imagine being trapped in a heavy piece of equipment with no way of exploring your environment. Noah needs to be able to reach for toys and play with his friends at school.
Please give any amount you can to help Noah get a new set of wheels and a new lease on life!
Thank you,
Colleen Volk, PT, DPT
