No Warehouse Silver Lake Edison

My name is Emmalyn Loeffler. My husband, children and I live off of Silver Lake Avenue and we are working with a group of residents in Edison to raise money to fight a mega-warehouse proposal in the belly of our residential neighborhood. Our neighbors, Joe and Katie Duarte are joining us in working directly with an attorney to fight this development so close to residential properties.
I have archived the original story in the update comments. As of 12/7/2020, the Town Council unanimously passed a resolution for Middlesex County to purchase the area as Open Space.
Our fight and our needs are long from over. We still need to raise money for a rendering of the area to present to the county, so they understand our vision of the property. We need money for the attorney. We need money for the as of yet unforeseen expenses that will head our way.
Your donations matter. We need to keep this on the front burner and top of mind.
What can you do to help?
1) Help keep our residential neighborhoods quiet and safe, free of added pollution and noise.
2) Help raise awareness. Talk to your neighbors, organize neighborhood meetings, use your professional and personal contacts to spread the word.
3) Attend township meetings, and put pressure on the township to resist this project and other similarly detrimental projects.
4) If you are able, please donate to our campaign. Our goal is to raise $5000 by December 31, 2020. Our combined monies will pay for legal fees, expert testimonies and the land use rendering needed to fight back and win the open space. No contribution is too small in support.
