No Jordan Lofts for a more friendly community
Hi, we are Tonie Hansen and Rosemary Anderson and we are fundraising for the No Jordan Lofts campaign. We’re working in partnership with several hundred neighbors in Uptown Sedona.
Developer Miramonte Homes is proposing a housing development with 84 rental apartments, which would be a detriment to the neighborhood. We are not supportive of this change in zoning, and want the zoning to remain as it currently stands, which is 34 units.
Neighbors have used their own money to fund: advertising in the Red Rock News, a direct mail piece, and those signs you see all across Uptown. We are also considering legal representation. These outlays have already exceeded our initial fundraising goal of $5,000, so whatever we can raise will be distributed amongst these generous neighbor donors who are taking the lead on behalf of us all. Donating to this fundraiser is one way you can help us continue to apply opposition pressure to the developer, Miramonte Homes and to convince City of Sedona officials not to change zoning for these Jordan Road land parcels.
We need these funds immediately, so our awareness campaign does not falter. There is still a long way to go until this issue is finally decided and we need your help. There will be additional money outlays as we move forward with continued advertising and legal advice.
Please help with whatever you can contribute, so the organizers of this campaign know that you all support us in protecting the neighborhood way of life for us all.
Thank you so much. It is gratifying to know we are on the right track and can rely on you. We are committed to working hard for you and with your help we can keep it up!
