In The Pursuit of Truth

My son, Tavian McFarland, was taken from this world and on to the next, April 4, 2019 at the young age of 18. He was a music artist; he was very intelligent, talented, and gifted. His spirit is beautiful and pure. He planned to attend VCU next year in his pursuit of always expanding his knowledge. While I know he is dancing on the other side with his grandfather and grandma, he will forever be missed until we can rejoin with him again.


Tavian died due to a gunshot toward the back of the head.  While the police want to move straight to declaring his death an accidental shooting by himself, there are too many things that just don't add up along with how they have approached the investigation. My son started recording the song below earlier in the day he was shot, I have finished it for him. Funds will be used toward burial expenses as well as legal and private investigation expenses. I also want to be able to offer a reward for any tips that lead to an arrest and conviction. Lastly, I am obligated to get his music copy written and released, so I am hoping to raise enough for that too.
