Hi, my name is Kevin Fitzgerald, and I’m humbly asking for your support as I continue a long and difficult journey battling multiple chronic illnesses.

Since adolescence, I’ve lived with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT)—a rare, inherited neurological disorder that weakens the muscles in my legs, arms, hands, and feet. CMT has made everyday life a physical challenge, but I’ve worked hard to stay mobile with the help of orthopedic surgeries, custom braces, and therapy.

In recent years, my health took a dramatic turn for the worse when I was also diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease and suffered from toxic mold exposure. These illnesses added severe fatigue, dizziness, and neurological symptoms to an already heavy burden.

After exhausting conventional treatment options, I began a new healing journey in 2022 at the BioMed Center of New England in Providence. Under the care of Dr. Marlane Bassett, I’ve been receiving integrative therapies—including Vitamin C infusions, Alpha Lipoic Acid, lymphatic therapy, and other bioregulatory treatments that have helped reduce symptoms and improve my energy and strength.

Unfortunately, these treatments come at a significant out-of-pocket cost and are not covered by insurance. While my loving wife and two incredible sons have supported me every step of the way, we’ve reached a point where we need help to continue.

Specialized lab work

Travel costs related to care
