Nina's Custody Battle

Tony, Diane, and Nina De Los Santos are a special family that is need of our support and help right now!
Nina attends Mosaic Arundel with Tony and Diane every Sunday as she goes to Upstreet and they serve every week. Tony serves on the set up team and Diane serves in Pre K where she loves on our newborns and also schedules all of our Pre K Volunteers. Tony and Diane got married last year and Diane has taken Nina and has loved her as her own. She is a wonderful step mom and has remained gracious throughout this process.
After their divorce, Nina's mom had majority custody and most recently has decided that she wants to move to Arkansas and take Nina with her. If this happens Nina will be taken away from her father and only able to see him during the summer. This is something that Tony and Diane are not willing to let happen. Tony wants to play a role in his daughter's life, not just see her in the off months.
In order to fight this there will be no mediation, as this is a relocation case. They will have to file back against her in order to have hope of receiving majority custody. They don't want to to take her away from her mother but they also don't want her to be taken away from her father. She would be leaving everything that she knows and will no longer be attending church on a regular basis. They are trying to get through this as peacefully as possible in order to prevent Nina from harboring resentment towards either parent.
Custody battles are exhausting and expensive. Tony and Diane have until April 23 to pay the $3500 retainer fee in order to fight for what they believe is best for Nina. Please consider giving whatever you can. Every little bit helps. If you cannot give financially at this time, please pray for the De Los Santos Family that they would get through this as peacefully as possible and that Nina would get through this, knowing that she's loved and valued.
