Becoming an Anthroposphical Painting Therapist

Dear fellow Human Beings of the World,

I have set up this GoFundME because I would greatly appreciate support to help me pay for the first semester/block of a course I am feeling very deeply called to study in Therapeutic Art according to the method of Liane Collot d’Herbois with The Sienna Academy in Australia (https://www.siennaacademy.com.au/) and in which I have to enroll in by September this year.

I have recently felt a strong yearning to specialise as an Anthroposophical Painting Therapist and I intuit that it will bring together all of my life experiences and passions so far (healing, pedagogy, spirituality and creativity) in a potent way where I can really work deeply with those seeking healing on the basis of the profound understanding of the Human Being as was given by Rudolf Steiner.

Recently, through studying Foundations in Anthroposophical Medicine with the Arlesheim Academy, I have become aware of how integral painting therapy is to Anthroposophical Medicine in Europe and I have a deep desire to bring more of this holistic and integrated form of healing and working with the whole human being here to Australia. I would love to be part of a movement that brings such wisdom, warmth and care to our society as a whole, but especially to our youth to whom my heart so deeply feels for. One of my dreams is of one day working in collaboration with other Anthroposophical Therapists and Doctors in a way similar to that in Europe (https://en.kunst-des-heilens.de/film).

My current situation is, that for many reasons, I don’t have the savings to get started in this course that I feel so called to study in time for the September intake. Normally I would wait till I have the savings available, but these are quite exceptional circumstances I find myself in because I have been informed by Sienna Academy that they will be having their final intake for Therapeutic Art this September 2024 as the principal teacher is planning on retiring in the next few years, and this is the only course of its kind here in Australia.

So, it is with great humbleness I ask for any blessing of financial support you may feel called to donate to help me start this journey into the depths of colour and the human soul, so that I can re-emerge in three and a half years time (the length of the course) to bring my gifts to the world in the realm of the Healing Arts. The money raised in this GoFundMe endeavour will go towards the initial fees for the first semester which are AU$2700 and towards the purchase of around AU$1000 in art materials.
