Support Nicole’s Medical Fight for Answers and Stability

Nicole is battling a serious and unresolved medical condition. Fluid continues to build up around her lung and abdomen, making it difficult for her to breathe. After more than two months without answers, she urgently needs ongoing testing and may require a second opinion. As part of her treatment, Nicole must be visited by an in-home nurse five times a week to drain the fluid around her lung—each visit costing her between $30 and $60 in co-pays. On top of this, she has had to pay several hundred dollars per scan, x-ray, and MRI, all while spending nearly a month in and out of the hospital this summer.

This year has already been heartbreaking for our family, with the loss of her mother in April and her beloved cat Garfield just last week. Through it all, Nicole has shown incredible strength and resilience—but she needs our help now more than ever.

About Nicole’s Situation:

Despite multiple visits and treatments, doctors have not yet been able to determine why the fluid keeps building up around Nicole’s lung and abdomen. Further testing is imperative, and she may need a second opinion to get the answers she desperately needs.

Through it all, Nicole has shown remarkable courage and resilience, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. She is currently on medical disability leave, making it difficult to keep up not only with medical bills but also with her rent. Helping cover her rent will ensure she can stay in her home during this critical time and focus fully on healing without the added stress of possibly having to move.
