Nicole Painter's Expenses Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Macy Halverson, and I'm fundraising for our dear friend Nicole Painter.

In the next three months, Nicole's life will be full of unexpected expenses as Nicole has made the courageous decision to have a double mastectomy at age 25. This year, Nicole got tested for the BRCA gene after having multiple family members battle breast and ovarian cancer. Once it was confirmed she had the gene, Nicole took action immediately, seeking out doctors and specialists who will take great care of her as she begins this long journey.

It would be remiss to write this post and not acknowledge the part of this story that will make this journey much more difficult for Nicole. Last week, Nicole lost her mother, Tammy, to cancer. To have to go through the surgery that will save her life while grieving the loss of her mother is an unthinkable tragedy.

To help relieve Nicole of some of the stresses she will be facing in the weeks, months, and years to come, we are asking Nicole's friends and family to give what they can to help Nicole get through this difficult time. Nicole will be out of work in the coming weeks while she grieves her mother and the entire month of December while recovering from surgery. We are trying to raise enough to get Nicole's expenses paid for the month of December while she's recovering and out of work. We want her focus to be on healing (both physically and spiritually), not on her bills.
