Niann Valentina's Trip to Heaven

Donation protected

On February 11, 2015 my sister Joann went into labor. The whole family was excited that we were finally going to meet our precious Niann Valentina. What was supposed to be the most happiest day of our lives turned out to be the worst tragedy that we as a family have ever endured.  We were told by the doctor that they didn't hear a heartbeat but of course we remained optimistic and prayed that everything will turn out fine. Afterall, Joann is healthy and young and up until then Niann had been doing just fine. But as it would turn out Niann would not make it. She passed away. My sister had to deliver a still born baby as if not having her alive wasn't bad enough.  And so Niann was born but instead of baby cries and tears of happiness there was silence and tears of sorrow. : ' ( How could this happen? Why would this happen? These are the questions all of us including my sister ask ourselves. We are told to have faith. We are told to be patient. We are told that everything happens for a reason but trying to make sense of this occurence is beyond comprehensible.

I can't pretend to know what it feels like to loose a child. All I know is that going through this experience has changed the way I view life. Life is not guaranteed. One minute you're here and next minute you're not.

We created this page to help my sister and her partner. Instead of enjoying their newborn child they are making funeral arrangements. They have expenses that they didn't plan on and so we as a family want to make it a little easier financially. It's hard enough that they are grieving but to have to worry about finances at this moment is simply horrible.  With the money that is received we promise to donate to the March of Dimes in honor of Niann Valentina because we want to help fund research so that mothers everywhere don't have to go through what my sister went through.  We also want to keep Niann Valentina's memory alive because although she is not here in person we wish to keep her alive in our hearts and minds.

I would like to thank everyone who showed their support during time of need and would also like to thank everyone in advance who donates. Anything we can raise is more than what we have. :)
