Newry Outreach Christmas Appeal – Help Us Bring Christmas to Families in Need

For many of us, Christmas is a time of warmth, excitement and making memories with the people we love. But for some families in our community, Christmas brings a very different feeling — worry.

Worry about putting food on the table.

Worry about keeping the house warm.

Worry about how to explain to a child why Santa might not be able to bring the present they have been hoping for.

Every Christmas, Newry Outreach supports local families who are struggling. Families who may be facing circumstances they never expected and who simply need a helping hand at one of the most difficult and expensive times of the year.

With the generosity of our community, we provide toys and Christmas gifts for children, food for families, and help with heating and other essential needs.

These aren't luxuries.

For a parent struggling to make ends meet, a little support can mean being able to turn the heating on without worrying about the bill. It can mean having enough food in the cupboards over Christmas. And it can mean waking up on Christmas morning knowing there is something under the tree for their children.

No parent should have to choose between heating their home, feeding their family or giving their child a little bit of Christmas magic.

That is why we are asking for your help.
