In 2020 the town of Newport will celebrate the 300th anniversary of its founding. We will commermorate this momentous milestone with a year long schedule of events.
The port and town of Newport was founded in 1720. Newport 300 committee aim to bring all sectors of the community in Newport including the diaspora to work together in preparing and delivering projects to reflect the history, heritage and achievements of Newport over 300 years.
The money raised will be used to host the events in particular the concerts which have professional musicians travelling to preform and the re-enactment. We need the funds by Jan 2020.
This year is to benefit everyone in the community and those associated with it.
