Newcastle Education (and eating) Fund

I have been accepted in the Master's  program for Creative Writing at Newcastle University in England! I'm extremely excited to go back to school (as a student) and work towards a dedicated career in the field of writing. 

Education is expensive though. The amount of time I'm allowed to work while I'm studying as an international student won't be enough to support me through the year. I would appreciate any and all assistance towards this venture. 

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE PROGRAM?
Thank you for asking! I will be studying in Newcastle upon Tyne, in northern England. The program is for one year starting in September of this year. Newcastle University is able to offer me a visa which would extend an extra six months after graduation, ideally so students can find jobs to sponsor them. Fun fact, Newcastle University has the same school colors as KU. Coincidence?? 

WHAT EXACTLY WILL I BE FUNDING?
All joking aside, I will be using all donated funds strictly for tuition/housing/course supplies/fees associated with getting to England (visa application/immigration health surcharge). The more that I can secure through donations, the less I need to take out in student loans. I will not be using any of these funds for souvenirs, leisure, or any non-school related shopping. To avoid dealing with taxes/utilites and to cut on the costs of transit, I intend to stay in student housing on campus.

WILL THIS OPEN FURTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU?
Yes! This program will help to educate me on the business side of the writing field. With this foundation I could enter into editing, marketing, or public relations, among many other options. This environment also will allow me to network and build relationships to help me with becoming published in the future.

ARE YOU FINISHED WITH COOKING?
Nope. I love cooking and love working with food. In fact, I plan to cook while I'm attending Newcastle University.

Yes, I have every intention of returning to America. However the likelihood of working up momentum to enter into grad school after returning and settling into work-mode is not good. I'm taking the opportunity while it exists.
