New VAN for a great MAN

Donation protected
Growing up, I NEVER thought I'd be in this position. Asking for help...

I've also never been so certain that this IS my purpose.

My father, who would NEVER ask or admit it, needs help. And I am going to give that to him.

My father has driven the same daycare van since 1992. That is insane. He has never complained. Not one time. But that's my dad, he doesn't complain.

About a decade ago, my mother had a life altering stroke. Leaving her completely paralyzed on the right side and 100 % dependent on Frank. (My dad)

Suddenly my dad was forced to make very difficult decisions. Her medications, her rehabilitation, her doctor's appointments became his TOP priority. Obviously. Leaving him, in a huge financial hole. He did not have insurance that was equipped for such a medical crisis.

Hes paid aid hundreds of thousands in medical bills.

He kept his business afloat. When most others would have given up.

After the stroke, my father was hospitalized with pneumonia which then resulted in further testing...which THEN resulted in a 5 bypass heart surgery. He STILL never asked for help. On his birthday, while in the hospital, I asked what he wanted. His response? A pair of clean Levi's (his own, just clean) and for me to spend the night with my mom so she wasn't alone.

He never thinks about himself.

Im crying writing this. Because I'm reliving one of the hardest times of my family's life.

Hard doesn't even begin to describe it.

The day my father was released from the hospital, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. None of us had any idea she was sick. Why? He never asked us for help.

During that time my father ate only a baked potato for dinner EVERY SINGLE NIGHT because that is all he could afford.

Again, I had no idea. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about how my father, the man who ensured I had EVERY SINGLE thing I ever wanted growing up...could barely afford to eat.

After he recovered and my mom was declared cancer free, she was diagnosed TWO more times. Ultimately resulting in a  colostomy  bag.

And trips to chemo and radiation for years to come.

He and my mother were  not prepared for any of this. Who is though?

My heart breaks every time I see him driving ALL of those children in that weathered, tired, van.

He deserves more.

The kind of guy my my father is, is this:

He would buy me a new car...before buying one for himself.

He is undoubtedly the kindest, most selfless, undeniably deserving man for such a gift.

My goal is $5,000.

Nothing extravagant. Nothing fancy. But something good for a good man.

Every single penny will go toward the van. I will buy it out right.

IF we exceed the goal, it will go toward new equipment for the daycare.

I will share the buying story, and keep everyone informed!

If you know of a van, please let me know.

If 100 people that have been impacted by Frank and Carmen or Country Care donates $50...we could meet this goal.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this story.

Love each other alway and show kindness wherever you go.

(Frank is NOT aware of this page. Please do not tell him. As soon as our goal is met and a purchase is made, an unveiling will be filmed...and a card attached with EVERY single person who donated will be presented)
