New (used) Truck for New Hope

Urgent Need! Please Help! We need a truck.

Our big truck has blown an engine. Our small truck can't begin to hold the amount of food we pick up and distribute weekly. In fact, we can fill it with just one day's pick up. We have had to rent a reefer truck for the past three weeks while waiting for mechanics from three different shops, to determine the issues on ours. We cannot sustain the continued cost of a rental. Now that we have received the terminal news, we have to act quickly in order to continue services. This cold box truck is mandatory for picking up refrigerated and frozen foods as well as the food that is delivered. We have separate freezer trailers that are in fine working order for meat. It is our refrigerated needs that we cannot fill.

New Hope Pantry is an emergency response agency in New Kent, VA.  We have been serving the needs of the seniors and disabled in our communities since 2002. Due to more recent events, we have expanded to serve families in need as well, in our community and many other surrounding ones.

We currently serve approximately 200 families per week, in addition to providing food and supplies for several homeless ministries.

Many of our customers are having to choose between medicine and food. Please help us help them.
