New Building for the Palmer Lake Fire Department
Tax deductible
Currently, the town of Palmer Lake is in talks to close the Palmer Lake Fire Department, which was established as we know it in 1938. The PLFD combats fires in Palmer Lake but also keeps our community a FireWise community, all through volunteer work. The volunteer firemen and women also maintain the Palmer Lake Star that we all love so much, as well as maintain safe environments during Winterfest, Fireworks, and more. Their annual Chili Supper is also a Palmer Lake tradition.
Hundreds of local firefighters got their beginnings at PLFD and now work for other cities and counties nationwide.
However, some officials wish to close the PLVFD. Therefore, the town will be discussing closing the Palmer Lake Fire Department and utilizing Tri-Lakes Monument for emergency calls.
The main point of contention is the deterioration of the PLVFD building, so let's start raising the cash to make this happen!
The Board of Trustees will be discussing this issue and possible actions moving forward on the 17th of July.
NOTE: PLVFD has been selected as the designee of this campaign. Therefore, all proceeds are mailed DIRECTLY from gofundme to PLVFD to purchase a new building.
