Neighbors Embracing Multicultural Arts (NEMA) is an Oxnard based non-profit legacy organization, whose mission is to master, educate and promote the richness of Near Eastern culture including music, dance, costuming, cuisine, language and traditions while embracing and supporting the cultural richness our local demographics.
The Corporation has been formed under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for the purposes started in the Articles of Incorporation. The specific purpose of this Corporation is to provide a safe and sacred space for girls and women to empower their inner and outer beauty in a way that respects themselves, their families and their community.
NEMA is active in the community, presenting events such as women's day, and youth arts festival, and proving support for community events such as the Salsa festival, the Multicultural festival, the Christmas tree lighting, and the Christmas parade.
NEMA has outgrown our space, and we are relocating our loving community to 108 E 5Th St. in Oxnard, CA.
Your generous donation will help us rebuild a sacred space for health, community, education and empowerment, where you are always welcome.
