Nellie & Nico's Hurricane Maria Aid
Donation protected
My parents, Nico and Nellie, live in Naranjito, Puerto Rico. Like many others, they lost their house and everything they owned to Hurricane Maria. All their valuables and memories are gone. They have an elementary school education and live on a modest income. He supplemented his retirement income by doing farm work for others. Now, because of the devastation, that source of income is gone. They did not have insurance. In spite of having a 6th grade education and speaking very little English, my father proudly served in the US military during the early 60's. My mother is a diabetic and has limited vision. They will need help to rebuild their home and replace essentials such as food, clothing, some furniture, and necessary appliances.
