Needlepoint Sanctuary Mutual Aid Community Fund
Needlepoint Sanctuary's main goals are to promote compassion and solidarity towards those who use drugs; to provide clean and safe supplies to prevent the transmission of disease, to prevent overdoses, and support users seeking recovery.
We are a mutual aid group who work closely with people who use drugs in the greater Bangor area. We hand out free Narcan, exchange clean syringes, and offer supplies to help the homeless encampments around Bangor with things such as personal hygiene, warm clothes, food and other resources.
This is a general community response / mutual aid fund meant to directly service impacted peoples in the greater Bangor area. We as a group do not believe in hierarchical organizing structures and we believe at our core that direct actionable change in our communities achieved through organizing efforts MUST be shaped by those who are most in need of assistance or services.
100% of funds raised are to be used for direct community justice response including harm reduction supplies, general bail funds, resources to best aid those battling homelessness, poverty, and substance use.
All donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to help community members in need in the greater Bangor area.
Thank you
