Queridos compañeros y compañeras en la lucha,
Estamos pidiendo su apoyo para recaudar fondos para nuestras renovaciones de DACA.
Como algunos de ustedes saben, los costos de renovación de DACA son bastante caras. En ciertos puntos, tanto Li como yo nos hemos dedicado a Cosecha por tiempo completo, viviendo con un pequeño sueldo (de voluntario) para cubrir solo las necesidades básicas. Como tal, en este momento no podemos pagar más de mil dólares, y por eso buscamos su apoyo.
Aunque el proceso de decidir renovar nuestro DACA ha sido difícil, porque sabemos que no toda nuestra comunidad puede beneficiarse de este programa, hemos decidido renovar una vez más. Con DACA hemos podido tomar más riesgos dentro del movimiento, como participar en acciones de alto riesgo de desobediencia civil. También hemos utilizado nuestros permisos para viajar a diferentes partes del país, incluyendo ciudades fronterizas, para apoyar el trabajo de Cosecheras/os y otros líderes de derechos de los inmigrantes en todo el país.
Gastos involucrados en la renovación:
$495 por solicitud (eso es $ 990 para los dos)
$25 para obtener copias de las disposiciones de nuestros arrestos por nuestras acciones de desobediencia civil en los últimos 2 años y costo de envío (estimado)
Todo esto sale a: $1,015
Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, ayuda. Si no puede donar, le pedimos que aún nos ayude a COMPARTIR esta recaudación de fondos.

Dear compañeros and compañeras in the struggle,
We are asking your support in helping us, Cat and Li (also referred to as, The Adorno Siblings), raise funds for our DACA renewals.
As some of you know, DACA application fees are quite hefty, and both Li and I are struggling financially. At given points, both Li and I have volunteered full time with Movimiento Cosecha living on a small stipend to cover just basic needs. As such, paying over a thousand dollars right now is quite the challenge, and why we seek your support.
Though the emotional process of deciding to renew our DACA has been difficult, because we know that not all our community is able to benefit from it, both Li and I have decided to renew one more time. With DACA we have been able to take more risks within the movement- such as participating in high risk civil disobedience actions. We’ve also used our permits to travel to different parts of the US, including border towns, to support the work of Cosecher@s and other immigrant rights leaders across the country. And this weighted out the decision to not renew...
A break down the costs of the renewals:
$495 per application (that’s $990 for both of us)
$25 to get copies of dispositions from our arrests for our civil disobedience actions in the last 2 years, and mailing fees (estimated)
All of this comes out to: $1,015
