For Danielle "Nellie" Thompson

The beautiful young woman in the photo is my daughter in law and Sean's Mommy. When Sean was a toddler and Nellie was barely 30 she had a seizure. After having a CT scan at the ER she was sent to the Cleveland Clinic. They determined she had a brain tumor, an Oligodendraglioma to be exact. Immediate surgery to remove as much as possible. The outcome was grim, they couldn't get it all, she would need Chemo and radiation and was given 5 years at most. The treatments ravaged her as they so often do and finally they had to stop the radiation and in late 2014 the chemo was stopped as well. She is losing her battle very quickly but it was the intense love of her son Sean and her life partner John (my son) that kept her going for more than 6 years. The hospital bill is six digits and he has spared no expense in getting her whatever she wants. What he can't give her is more time to watch her son grow up. She is an amazing mother to my grandson. I don't know why I put down $8,000.00 as the medical bills exceed $100,000.00 but at least this will help with her final expenses and today his boss came to his house and fired him because he took 3 days off to get her settled in with the hospice nurses that will be coming to the house to check on her during her end stages. Please please help them. They are good deserving people. Thank you for hearing me out.
