Shooting For Change

Last year we challenged members of the Portsmouth Basketball Club to make as many free throws as they could in order to raise funds for the Orchard Park regeneration.

The mix of U12, U14 & U16 players made 1,395 free throws in a 2 hour time limit.

This year, as a pre-event to the Chain Net 2v2 tournament we are once again running the Shooting For Change event but in a new format.

Shooting will take place from 7am. The first group up will be the attendees from the weekly Sunrise session shooting free throws from 7am til 8am there will then be a break in the action then Portsmouth Club will be up at 9am til 11am.

Funds this year will contribute to a large order of paint to touch up certain parts of the Orchard Park basketball court that have been sprayed with graffiti. This will also ensure we have paint for the future when further touch ups are required.
