Child Custody Legal Fees

As much as I don't like to ask for help this probably one of the few times I will as it is becoming more difficult. I am currently in a custody dispute for my son which has been going on for over a year. Anyone who has been in one or has had to hire an attorney to fight one knows that these are neither easy nor cheap. As many other single parents, divorced parents, and others would understand. I've spent over $20,000 of my personal savings on attorney fees, almost everything I have ever saved. The COVID-19 pandemic has not helped and has dragged the case on longer then expected. There is no immediate end in sight and with the holidays coming money seems to be getting tighter and tighter. A trial for a custody case usually comes with a cost over $10,000. I'm hoping a little bit from those around who may have experienced similar things will go a long way. Being able to pay part of the fees would allow the stress of financials to be less of a weight on my shoulders.
