Hello! My name is Kyleigh Mills, and I am a senior at Holy Cross High School. Each year, seniors choose specific injustices that are important to them. They then spend the year partnering with a local organization who works to respond to that justice.

For my senior service project, I am passionate about ensuring the life and dignity of elderly people by improving their wellbeing in healthcare as well as making sure they generally feel seen.

To do this, I have chosen for my direct action to be to host a craft night at Nazareth Home. The idea is to have residents, their relatives, and Holy Cross students come to a craft night filled with crafts and snacks to create a positive space for residents.

The money I am raising will go to hosting this event for Nazareth Home and any money left over, I will be splitting between donating to Hildegard House which is Kentucky's first and only comfort care home that provides compassionate care for individuals at the end of life who have no home or loved ones to care for them and UK College of Medicine Salvation Army Clinic which is a student-run clinic that provides free medical services to the residents of the Lexington Salvation Army women and children's shelter and homeless persons in the Lexington Area.
