National Guard Team Fighting COVID-19

My brother’s Georgia National Guard unit is on the front-lines of the battle against COVID-19.

Everyday they are going into institutions (nursing homes, hospitals, etc.) with confirmed cases and are sanitizing the facility. They are also training the staff in proper protocol to prevent further spreading of the virus.

Guard units from all over have been brought to Atlanta to assist. Some of these men and women won’t see their families until the pandemic is over. My brother is on call 24/7, so he has to stay on base or in a hotel in order to be available at a moments notice. 

I want to do something to help keep their spirits high, and let them know how much we appreciate what they’re doing for us.

I’ve been in contact with Waffle House, and they are willing to cook and package meals for the soldiers.

We are going to need approximately 200 meals. 

$8.50 will cover one meal and a tip for the Waffle House staff. 

If the funds go over the amount needed to cover the 200 meals, it will go towards the Waffle House Adopt a Meal Fund to provide more meals to other first responders. UPDATE: We will only need approximately 200 meals. Updating the total dollar amount needed to $1750
