Lymphoma Treatment for Nathan Rodgers
Donation protected
Hi friends and family. My name is Kayla and my brother Nathan has been diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma. As he prepares to begin treatment, we all know it’s ridiculously costly and I want to set something up to help him and his family however possible. Nathan is turning 33 next month, and lives in Phoenix with his partner Hunter and their one-year-old daughter Raelan.
This journey started in January when Nate noticed a lump in his neck. Doctors prescribed antibiotics and steroids which helped, and the lump, for the most part went away. In March it returned and he was treated again with more aggressive antibiotics and steroids. Two more times it was addressed this way as the ENT doctor continued to believe it was an infection. In July Nathan was finally sent for an MRI, more bloodwork, an ultrasound and finally a biopsy, that last week confirmed the lump (now three) was lymphoma.
This past week has involved a series of appointments with oncologists and the upcoming week will include a PET scan, a bone marrow biopsy and many more appointments to prepare for his treatment. Although Nathan has insurance through work, so many expenses are not covered. Time off from work may also be necessary.
Nathan has always been the rock of my family. The strongest, most hardworking, humble guy I know. I have looked up to him my whole life and can’t begin to express how lucky I am to have him as my big brother. If you know Nathan, you know he’s got this! Hopefully with this Go Fund Me, he can focus on his health without the added stress of medical expenses. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and help cover treatment costs. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this link. Positive thoughts and prayers are also greatly appreciated! Thank you again, your support means the world to our family.
Update Sept 25: we have found out the cancer has spread to his liver and is now stage 3.
