First, please keep this private and share only with family and close friends. I am putting my pride aside and asking for help.
Most of you know that my daughter, Hailey, recently turned 6 years old. For the first four years, Hailey’s biological father was not involved in her life. That all ended when he waged a custody battle for Hailey in August 2016. Since then, he has made several unsuccessful attempts at proving I am an unfit mother; vandalized my car to the point of being totaled; stolen mail from my mailbox (in front of a witness and in
broad daylight); and was court-mandated to attend anger management counseling.
More importantly, it is clear that he does not have Hailey’s best interests at heart:
he neglects Hailey during his parenting time; more often than not, he simply drops
Hailey with his mother; he is emotionally and verbally abusive to Hailey; and most
recently refused to provide bathroom facilities at a construction site and made her urinate in an open area without shielding her or providing any privacy.In addition to having to pay for a court evaluator, my attorney fees are out of control and it feels as though an end is not in sight. A trial date is set for October 26, 2017.
Although I have already paid nearly $20,000 in legal fees, I owe my attorney another $3,000. If she does not receive payment by the end of September, she will not
represent us at the October trial.
With the threat of her abandoning us before the court hearing, I am asking for your help in keeping my family together. Any donation would be appreciated. If you are
not financially able to help, I would be more than grateful for your prayers to keep faith and clarity through this emotional time.
Again, please keep this private. I don’t know how this could be used against me in our upcoming trial but I do not want to add to our mounting legal costs.
