Lawsuit to Enforce PA Mask Mandate in NASD

On November 23rd, the Nazareth Area School Board voted 5-3 to disregard and violate the Pennsylvania Department of Health mask mandate. As a result, masks are no longer required in Nazareth schools despite virtually all other schools in Pennsylvania abiding by the mandate. The NASD Board has intentionally violated the DOH Order that protects our children in school and they are disregarding the medical advice of the American Academy of Pediatrics, CDC, St. Luke's Hospital, and public health professionals.
We are thankful that more than one family will be moving forward with a lawsuit on behalf of our children to have the mask mandate reinstated. However, we need to raise an initial $10,000 as a retainer in order to proceed. These funds will be used as a retainer for the law firm representing the families. (We understand that this is a fluid situation. If the PA Supreme Court overturns the DOH mask mandate (which we hope to be unlikely), we will reassess and determine next steps).
