Namanya Memorial Center

In Uganda's primary schools, it's not uncommon to have 100 students for a single teacher. Many schools lack the space or money to offer children library books. Books are also difficult to get outside of school. It’s hard to become a good reader without books to practice with.

Thanks to donors and volunteers, the Namanya Memorial Community Library (NMCL) opened in 2022, providing reading material and educational opportunities to more than 4,000 children. NMCL also sponsors children whose families can’t afford school fees to create a brighter future.

Construction on a Skills Training Center is underway. The center will teach older youth career skills including welding and construction. Please help the Namanya Memorial Center overcome poverty in Uganda with your gift of any amount today.
