Well, looks like wearing masks is our new normal...for now. Safe, well-designed masks are our ticket TO RESUME WORK (=LIFE)
I have been actively watching this whole-mask-thing emerge for the past few months. As a designer. I wanted to see how it developed and hopefully use my expertise to design a 'better' mask. A mask that integrates with our Americana lifestyle.
First off. Masks suck. Period. The most unattractive thing for someone who is not in the medical profession to actually wear.
So that was my motivation. I wanted something that was American made and with American style. That really worked.
My 2-mask designs are superior because they incorporate our amazing youthful Americana Style, 100% cotton, colorful bandanas, with a virus-inhibitor filter material sewn inside each mask.
#1. Our Full-Coverage mask has a generous coverage of fabric over nose, mouth and chin. $10
#2. Our Pocket-Mask is smaller with soft, adjustable cotton ties, near the ear. Both designs wash-and-wear beautifully! $7.50
The a COMMUNITY EFFORT. We are happy to provide masks to anyone who needs them. All Donations go to material costs of masks. We have reached out to church leaders in search of volunteer seamstress. We create the complete mask-kit for the seamstresses. They can self-distribute to community members or bring them back for us to give .
We are, and have been a quaint sewing studio in Southern California, teaching kids and adults how to sew for the past 10 years. We are setting up and converting a portion of our studio, becoming a small manufacturer, providing this new commodity to our fellow Americans. We are a volunteer crew, that cares. We also love including young adults from our special needs community to be a part of sewing and helping. They love giving back, too! Because of the rigorous demand for self-protecting mask we will also be hiring seamstress to meet the need.
